Thanks to everyone that attended and donated (so generously!). We're thinking that 2025 just might be our best year ever. So now we have to pay a few bills and count up all that money. Soon we'll announce how much we're able to donate to the Community Kitchen.

In 1990 art teacher, John Hartom, created Empty Bowls. The premise is simple...artisans make bowls, folks make food, and then there is an event. Worldwide all of the events are different and unique. They all share the commonality of donating all of their proceeds to a local organization that deals with hunger. So simple, yet so powerful.

In 2008, Michael Terra and his family participated in Paducah's Artist Relocation Program. As a clay guy, Michael had participated in many Empty Bowl events across the country. Once he realized that there wasn't a local event, he jumped on the opportunity to serve his new community. The Empty Bowls Project of Paducah was born.

Last year (2024) we were so pleased to give our charity of choice, THE COMMUNITY KITCHEN, a big fat check for $25,000.
